Saesong first started in 2014 as a Broadcast Jockey (BJ) at video streaming service AfreecaTV. Under the username Songri, she chats, calls out fans and even covers live songs.

In 2016, the talented singer opened a Youtube channel to share her song covers with a wider audience. That way, people who couldn’t catch her live streams can still enjoy her covers.

Back then, Saesong did not record these songs separately. Nor did she edit it in post-production.

The songs were performed live at the request of her viewers. She cut only parts of each song and posted them on YouTube.

After a while, Saesong started uploading independent song covers on YouTube. These are more polished than live streams.

She quickly gained a lot of attention and reached 100.000 subscribers in less than a year.
