Apink is a K-POP girl group introduced by a member of Cube Entertainment. It consists of 5 members: Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bo-mi, Jeong Eun-ji, Kim Nam-joo and Oh Ha-young.

The name Apink contains ‘a’ and ‘pink’. ‘A’ means they want to be the best in the K-pop industry, while ‘pink’ represents their flawless image.

Career

In February 2011, Naeun was introduced to the public as the first Apink member. After that, the release was made with Chorong as the leader and continued with Hyeong.

In March, Eunji was introduced as the fourth member, followed by Yokyung. Meanwhile, Bomi and Namjoo got to know each other through Apink’s reality show Apink News.

Seven of them finally made their debut in April 2011 with the release of Epink’s EP Seven Springs. The debut stage was held on Mnet M! A countdown featuring wishlist and molayo songs.

However, unfortunately, Yokyung left the group in 2013 to focus on his studies.

Apink has received many awards since her debut. Such as Soul Music Awards, The Mnet Asian Music Awards and Golden Disc Awards.

On April 8, 2022, Nayeon officially left Apink.
