Career

Starting in August 2021, JYP Entertainment made a big public announcement about their plans to debut a new girl group.

After the announcement, JYP gradually uploaded some dance covers and vocal covers from their girl trainees.

The first cover featured Kyujin, Jini, and Jiwoo’s dance in early August 2021, followed by Jini’s solo cover and Sulion’s solo cover.

One by one, all the members made their own covers which were then uploaded to JYP’s social media platforms.

After a long wait, JYP Entertainment announced the exact date of NMIXX’s debut, February 22, 2022.

On that day, JYP introduced the 7 members of NMIXX, Haewon, Kyujin, Jinni, BAE, Lily, Sullyoon and Jiwoo.

NMIXX later debuted with their first EP, which included the tracks ooo And the tank

On December 9, 2022, Jini decided to leave NMIXX and canceled her contract with JYP Entertainment due to personal reasons.
