Hwang Myunghun, or popularly known as Big Marvel, is a South Korean singer and YouTube star.

He became famous after posting a cover of the song on his YouTube channel.

Career

Big Marvel first entered YouTube in 2014 under the name StimMercy. He later changed it to Lil Marvel.

He has posted some vlogs and prank videos on this channel. He also showed his skills in beatboxing many times.

In 2017, the South Korean YouTuber decided to turn his attention to another channel called Big Marvel.

He uploaded TWICE’s flute cover knock knockCovered BLACKPINK’s song Like it’s your lastand beatboxing combined with the Korean traditional instrument gyageum for BTS’ Blood sweat and tears.

After that, he started using strange objects as instruments. He covered famous songs like Red Velvet Take a look and Camila Cabello Havana Using a calculator.

But Big Marvel is mostly known for its rubber chicken covers. In late November 2017, he covered the song DNA By BTS using a squeaky chicken toy.

This, along with several Tuber Chicken covers, earned him the nickname Chicken Oppa.

Over the years, its cover became more and more complex. The talented beatboxer used a wider variety of household items and added pigs and ducks to his list of musical instruments.

Sometimes he covers it even on a busy street. His antics are usually met with some confused looks, but it sure makes for an interesting video.

Apart from releasing funny cover videos with his rubber chicken, the man born in 1994 has also produced some original songs.

He partnered with Omega Sapien and released his first single Chickenman In 2018.

He then went on to do several more songs throughout the year, including crush (2019), Masked (2020), and Sinful Mysterio (2021). Each song was accompanied by a music video.
