The group was created by an agency called One Cool Jacso and was announced to debut in July 2021.

Initially, Eva Yao and Jennifer Zhou were rumored to be members of SKYLE.

Unfortunately, the rumors were just that. In July 2021, the official line-up just showed the four members, Chahyun, Ginny, Erin, and Ujeong.
