KARD is a KPOP group co-produced under DSP Entertainment. The group consists of 4 members: J.Seph, Somin, BM and Jiwoo.

KARD has a meaning. The letter K represents the King card owned by BM, A represents the Ace card owned by J.Seph, and R represents the Black Joker and Color Joker cards owned by Somin and Jiwoo.

But the letter D has a symbolic meaning. The letter D represents a hidden card that will open up the group to various meanings.

Career

The agency made an announcement to the public on December 1, 2016, that they would launch a group called KARD. He revealed that the group will have a card game concept.

The group released a pre-debut single titled oh nana on December 13, 2016 and became a huge success, as they peaked at number 4 on the US iTunes K-Pop chart and number 10 on the Japan iTunes chart.

They achieved success as one of the 10 best new K-pop groups by Billboard magazine in 2016.

KARD went on to release a second pre-debut single titled do not remember Again, the single was a huge success, especially in international eyes.

The group’s final pre-debut single was released on April 24, 2017. rumor rumor It debuted at number one on the iTunes K-Pop chart in thirteen countries.

KARD then held their first public concert, the 2017 Wild KARD Tour, from May to June 2017. The concert tour began in Canada, the US, Mexico and Brazil.

In 2018, they made a comeback by presenting the next EP called riding the wind, which peaked at number 7 on the Village Albums Chart for approximately one week and number 8 on the Billboard World Albums Chart.

The single became a success, charting in the top spots for iTunes K-Pop Singles in twenty-one countries, beginning in France, England and the USA.

Next, they released a second digital single titled Dumb Litty With peak success in September 2019, which landed them at number 41 on the Billboard Social 50 chart.
