Katsuki Bakugo is one of the most popular characters in the anime series, My Hero Academy.

He is Izuku Midoriya’s rival and is a student in Second A at UAE High School. He dreams of becoming the most powerful hero to defeat All Might.

Katsuki Bakugo is a young man of medium height, with a narrow but muscular body and slightly tanned skin. He has short ash blonde hair and his eyes are sharp and thin, bright red.

Especially in the beginning of the series, he is a fierce and temperamental character. At first, Katsuki appears cruel and not like a hero.

Bakugo’s last name “baku” means “explosion” and the kanji “go” means “strength, power, glory, magnificence”. Hence his surname means great power, extraordinary explosive.
Izuku’s nickname for Katsuki is “かっちゃん (kacchan)”. It is mainly used for children or women. It has an affectionate meaning. That’s why he doesn’t like this nickname because it conveys a very childish idea about him.
