There is some philosophical aspect behind the name of the group. The actual context leads to the Korean phrase issji Which means ‘there is’. This means that they want the group in ITZY to have everything that fans want.

ITZY can be interpreted as ‘got’ or ‘is’ according to the wishes and needs of ITZY fans.

Career

JYP Entertainment revealed their newest girl group in January 2019. The agency posted a teaser trailer to reveal the members, prompting many fans to promote the group.

He finally made his first official debut on 12 February 2019. At that time he released his first solo album It’s different.

The album contains top hits Dalla Dalla which peaked at number two on the global digital song sales chart.

ITZY finally made their first stage debut after releasing a solo album on February 21st M Countdown.
