Career

Leroy Sane started his journey in football early at the age of 5 at local club SG Wattenscheid 09. He left SG Wattenscheid for the Schalke youth academy when he was 8 years old.

When he joined Schalke, he spent three years playing junior football with Bayer Leverkusen and returned to the Schalke youth academy in 2011.

Three years after returning to Schalke, he signed a professional contract with Schalke 04 in 2014 and made his debut against VfB Stuttgart a year later.

His outstanding performances at Schalke 04 earned him a transfer to Manchester City. He signed with Manchester City in 2016 and made his debut against Manchester United.
