Matthew Kai Stonie, or better known as Matt Stonie, is an American YouTube star, competitive eater.

He rose to fame after entering competitive eating contests.

Matt Stonie is famous for his food challenges where he eats a variety of foods as quickly as possible.

He began joining Major League Eating in 2011. At that time, it was the Deep Fried Asparagus Championship in California, and Matt became the youngest competitor as he was only 18 years old.

Previously, he had entered and won a lobster roll eating contest in 2010. Matt became more popular after eating 62 hot dogs and defeated defending champion Joey Chestnut in 2015.

He created a YouTube channel in 2012 to stay close to his fans and update his eating activities.

Matt reached 1 million subscribers in December 2015 and 10 million subscribers in November 2019. Matt reached 1 billion views in July 2018.

Throughout his career, he has set several world records, including eating a 5.5-pound birthday cake in 9 minutes in 2013, eating 20.5 Chicken Speedies in just 10 minutes, and eating 71 pork ribs in 5 minutes in 2015.
