He became famous after posting technology-related videos on YouTube.

Career

Linus Sebastian never thought of making a career on YouTube. He was working at a Canadian computer store called NCIX.

His boss then asked him to host a demonstration video on some of their products.

The first video Linus has worked on so far is for the Sunbeam Tunic Tower Heatsink. It was released on the NCIX Tech Tips Youtube channel in July 2007.

Due to low viewership, Linus was asked to create another Youtube channel with lower production costs. This channel is known as Linus Tech Tips.

He started uploading videos from November 2008. Through the channel, the Canadian shares tech tips. He also produces various product reviews and computer building guides.

After years of working together, the Youtube stars parted ways with NCIX.

He got the rights to the name Linus Tech Tips as well as the YouTube channel. He started developing the channel as an independent venture.

In 2013, he founded his own company called Linus Media Group (LMG), with Linus himself serving as the company’s CEO.

LMG is said to be a full service production agency with experience in social media, web video and influencer marketing.

With his new company, he continues to create informative videos packed in interesting ways.

Some of his most popular videos include building a PC. One of them is about building a PC using parts from the online store Wish.

The second shows Linus’s experience building PCs in China. Another popular video of his is about testing a gaming PC from Walmart.
