Yang Jung-won, or popularly known as Jungwon, is a South Korean singer. He is the leader of the K-POP boy group ENHYPEN.

Jungwon gained recognition after participating in a survival show to create ENHYPEN I-LAND. He undoubtedly became more famous after debuting as the leader of ENHYPEN.

Career

Jungwon has always been very interested in music. Joining an agency, he decided to pursue a career in music. He trained there for some time.

One of his friends has the same dream as him. But this friend is a trainee under BigHit Entertainment. One day, the friend decided to show Jungwon’s pictures to the agency staff.

They liked what they saw and invited this Aquarius man for an audition. He managed to pass and officially became BigHit’s trainee around 2019.

Under the new agency, he will train for about a year and four months.

In 2020, Jungwon was to participate in the survival competition series I-Land. He was one of 23 contestants vying for a place in a new boy group.

Only seven people will be part of the final category, six people voted and one chosen by the producers.

During the show’s airtime from June to September 2020, Jungwon quickly became a crowd favorite. His charm and talent won the hearts of many people.

In November 2020, Jungwon debuted with the group. They released an EP Seema: First day and the lead single given and taken

The EP peaked at number two on the Village Albums Chart and the Japanese Oricon Albums Chart.

After their successful debut, ENHYPEN released their next EP Boundary: Carnival In March 2021.

He also made his Japanese debut Border: Haknai Released in July 2021. One of the songs don’t forget me Served as the opening theme song for the anime Re-main.
