Julie Ertz is an American professional women’s soccer player. She was famous for winning the state title nine times.

Career

Julie Ertz knows soccer because she was introduced to soccer through her local American Youth Soccer Organization area. She and her sister Melanie Sereno join the soccer club.

She played for the Sereno Soccer Club from 2004 to 2010 and won nine state titles with the club.

When she attended Dobson High School, she volunteered as a student athletic trainer for four years.

She attended Santa Clara University and in college, she played as a midfielder for the Broncos women’s soccer team.

In 2014, she was selected in the first round of the 2014 NWSL College Draft to join the Chicago Red Starts. She signed with the club for the 2014 season.

Her first appearance for the club was against the Western New York Flash, where she scored the only goal in the 59th minute.

Unfortunately, during the 2015 season, she missed almost half of the NWSL season due to her commitments with the United States National Team.

She remained with the Chicago Red Stars until 2021 and was traded to Angel City FC prior to the expansion draft.
