Jordyn Huitema used to play soccer in the backyard with her brothers. Although it was just a child’s game, she could build strength and technique from when she played with her brothers.

She started playing for a local team when she was 4 years old Chilliwack FC. She joined the boys’ team when she was 10 years old because, in her opinion, the girls’ team was not competitive enough.

She attended Rosedale Middle School in Chilliwack and attended Burnaby Central Secondary as part of the Whitecaps FC Girls Elite REX program.

Her career began in the 2018 season when she joined TSS FC Rovers of the Women’s Premier Soccer League.

That same year, she announced that she would play for Paris Saint-Germain Feminines during the 2018 Women’s International Champions Cup but did not sign a professional contract so that she could maintain her collegiate eligibility.

In 2019, she announced that she would drop out of college and turn pro, thus signing a one-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

After her four-year contract expires. In 2022, she joined American club OL Reign on a two-year contract.

At the age of 15, she was called up to the Canadian national team. She became the first player to score a goal for Canada’s under-17 team.

She is also part of the Canada senior team and made her debut in the 2017 Algarve Cup final in the 2017 match between Canada and Spain.

She made her FIFA Women’s World Cup debut with Canada in the matches in France.
