Gorr the God Butcher is a supervillain from Marvel Comics. In the Marvel comics, his role as the Butcher of God causes him to die but is confronted by Thor until he is resurrected by King Loki.

His journey to become God’s butcher began when one of his family members starved to death. Although he was born on an unnamed planet, he was taught to believe in gods.

When the planet he lived on was on the brink of starvation, he prayed to the gods, but none of his prayers were answered.

When his son, Agar, starved to death, Gorr gave up hope and believed there was no God. That’s when he met Null, a dark elder god and a gold-armored god.

Filled with rage, he threatens the golden-armored god, and when the god asks for help, the dark god’s sword is attached to him, creating a weapon for him to kill the gods.

He then swears revenge on all the gods who never answered his prayers and travels the universe for thousands of years to kill all the gods.

His tragic backstory makes Gore a complex villain.
