Dr. Phil comes to an end after more than 20 years on the air

It’s the end of an era in daytime television.

doctor phil will say goodbye when its current season comes to an end later this year, E! The news confirms it.

Hosted by Dr Phil McGrawThe daytime talk show premiered in September 2002 and has run for 21 seasons.

“I have been blessed with more than 25 wonderful years in daytime television,” McGraw said in a January 31 statement. “With this show, we’ve helped thousands of guests and millions of viewers overcome everything from addiction and marriage to mental wellness and raising kids. This has been an incredible chapter in my life and career, but while I’m moving on from day, there’s so much more I want to do.”

In recent years, the 72-year-old has diversified his resume within the entertainment industry. He is currently an executive producer on CBS’ So help me Toddstarring skylar astin Y Marcia Gay Get Hard. McGraw also hosts two podcasts, Phil in the blanks Y Murder Mystery: Dr. Phil Analysis.
